Mind on Fire, Baltimore’s contemporary music collective, is teaming up with the Pratt Library to host a summer series of recitals at their various branch locations, and I will be playing a set of my favorite marimba works, as well as Mark Applebaum’s Aphasia, a piece inspired by this condition that disassociates words from their meaning, while surrounded by a lot of words and meaning :)
